Whitney Sheff received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English at the University of Oklahoma, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 2003. In 2005, she was accepted into the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where she graduated in 2008. While in law school, Ms. Sheff was on the Editorial Staff of the Urban Morgan Human Rights Quarterly for three years, served as the Student Bar Association Vice-President her third year, was a fellow in the Ohio Innocence Project her second year, a Terrence A. Sidley fellow at the American Indian Law Resource Center in Helena, Montana her second year, and a student intern for the UC Law Domestic Violence Clinic in conjunction with Legal Aid Society her third year. She also served as Co-chair of UC Law Women.
During her time between undergraduate school and law school, Ms. Sheff worked in marketing in Dallas, Texas, and then became a full time legal assistant in the areas of estate planning and probate at a small practice in Oxford, Ohio. Additionally, through her third year of law school, she worked as a part-time law clerk doing estate planning and probate work in downtown Cincinnati.
Following graduation, Ms. Sheff accepted a law clerk position with Clements Mahin & Cohen, LPA, Co., in September, 2008. After being admitted to the Ohio Bar in November, 2008, she became an Associate Attorney with the firm, practicing mainly in the areas of workers’ compensation, personal injury, social security disability, and probate. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, and the Cincinnati Bar Association, and participates in the activities of the Cincinnati Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section. She currently resides in Fort Thomas, Kentucky.
