Catharin R. Taylor graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Business in 1989 with a degree in finance and continued on to the University of Cincinnati College of Law. There she was active in the Moot Court program, winning the 1990 Anderson Moot Court Competition. She graduated in 1992 with a Juris Doctorate degree and began practicing with a large firm in Canton, Ohio where she primarily represented insurance companies in auto accident cases. In 1993, she decided she would rather represent those injured at work and in accidents and began practicing with Clements, Mahin & Cohen, LPA. She became a partner in Clements, Mahin & Cohen, LPA in 2001.

Ms. Taylor has tried many workers compensation and personal injury cases, including Cole v. Complete Auto Transit, which affirms an injured worker's right to appeal the termination of workers compensation benefits to the Courts of Common Pleas, and has argued cases in several Ohio Courts of Appeal. In 1999, she was certified as a specialist in Ohio Workers' Compensation law by the Ohio State Bar Association. She continues to practice in the areas of social security, intentional tort, and negligence law.

Ms. Taylor is admitted to practice in all agencies and Courts of Ohio, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, Office of Adjudication and Review of the Social Security Administration, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

She is a Trustee of the Southwest Ohio Trial Lawyers Association, a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Cincinnati Bar Association, and the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers. She has attended several regional seminars of the Trial Lawyers College, an organization founded by Gerry Spence to represent the interests of injured people and those accused of crimes.

Ms. Taylor was selected by the Cincinnati Business Courier in 2011 as one of the “Best Lawyers in Southwest Ohio” in the area of Workers Compensation. She has also been selected by Cincinnati Magazine as a Super Lawyer for the years 2009, 2010, and 2011.

Ms. Taylor has two children, and resides with her husband, criminal defense attorney Patrick Garry, in Cincinnati.
